A bet.
Is a bet.
On Friday, a co-worker showed up in my office looking like this:
I snapped his picture and attached this message:
Silly Cheese Head, Super Bowl is for Steelers!
Love,
Pittsburgh
We talked a little smack.
Then a handshake.
The agreement:
If the Steelers were victorious,
he would have to wear my Polamalu jersey all day Monday
and
hang my "No-Cheese" sign on his office door for the whole week.
If the Packers were victorious,
I would have to wear his Packers jersey all day Monday
and
hang the Green Bay Pennant on my office door for the whole week.
You were thinking this may be the game to help redeem yourself.
I wish you would have concentrated more on
NOT THROWING INTERCEPTIONS!
I know you tried really hard, but the rally was a bit too late and has left me WEARING GREEN this Monday.
And let me tell you,
to a girl who loves Black and Gold,
It ain't easy being green!

ReplyDeleteOh too funny. We were rooting for the Packers here, but only because my husband and son are Cowboys fans and they were pretty much all "over my dead body will the Steelers win a SuperBowl in the Cowboy's stadium".

ReplyDeleteMy team (the Pats) got knocked out far too early this year and left me a sobbing mess.
I know all too well from a few seasons ago just how heartbreaking it is to make it to the Superbowl only to lose.
