Olympic Blog Contest Semi-Finalist!

Bonnie Blair is the reason I tried Speedskating.

In my post Influence, Olympic Style, I wrote about how I became interested in Speedskating. They say that some things in life come full circle. This amazing athlete inspired me to try this wonderful sport and now she is judging MY BLOG! How crazy is THAT?!

As many of you know, I posted in October that I was going to enter a blogging contest that would, if I was deemed the winner, enable me to go to the Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada and blog behind the scenes. I think at the time I said the only thing that could make it any sweeter would be chocolate and coffee.

Excuse me while I finish chewing my Hershey bar and wash it down with a sip of java!!! How sweet it is!!!
